In the village of Chibote in the south of Zambia, which is cared for by the Franciscan Order, leprosy patients and their families try to live in self-sufficiency. To address the lack of international support for the community and to ensure better basic services for the residents, the St. Lazarus- Fonds implemented the following aid projects here:

  • Education support for the children in Chibote

  • Medical supplies for the clinic

  • Construction of a well for the village

  • Renovation of the houses in the village
