Leprosy is more than just a disease that has been forgotten. While leprosy is officially considered eliminated in many countries around the world, new cases continue to emerge. Especially in poor regions of the global South, leprosy remains a problem that extends far beyond the disease itself. The St. Lazarus-Fonds aims to support communities and families affected by leprosy to live in secure, healthy and dignified conditions. For over 20 years, we have provided diverse, direct, and targeted assistance in various regions, currently in Myanmar and Nepal.
